Job Description

TEACHER FOR SEN SPECIAL SCHOOL FOR AUTISM

Prior’s Court is a Residential Special School, catering for children and young people from ages 5-25, all of whom have complex autism and learning difficulties.

  • We welcome applications from Primary and Secondary teachers looking to move to a SEN school
  • Teacher Pension
  • Qualified: £32k - £43k
  • Unqualified: £23k - £30k (Dependent on qualification and experience)
  • 40 weeks per year (including 2 x 5 day ‘Training Weeks’)
  • Location Hermitage RG18 9NU

 

Due to increasing numbers, we are looking for a teacher to join our OUTSTANDING school (OFSTED, May 2022) and help transform the future for our young people. You will work within an experienced team, including teachers, therapists, and behaviour support leads, as well as liaising closely with our Wellbeing teams.

We are a well-resourced and well-equipped school, set in beautiful grounds in Hermitage. Our vision is for our individual young people to achieve Health, Happiness, Independence, and Work Skills at the relevant levels.

You will work with amazing autistic children an young people, supportive colleagues, have access to professional development opportunities and have a good work/life balance.

Early Careers Teachers are encouraged to apply, and a full induction is offered.

The successful candidate will be energetic, resilient, organised, flexible and able to work as part of a team.

Working Hours:        37.5 per week

40 weeks per year (including 2 x 5 day ‘Training Weeks’)
