Job Description

The Logistician oversees and provides technical and operational support for the following Logistics operations - procurement, warehousing, transport and reporting/statistics) for the Manila site, while ensuring compliance with ICRC Logistics procedures and all government regulations. S/he will provide support to the sites in Mindanao (Davao warehouse, Butuan, Cotabato and Zamboanga). S/he will independently handle purchasing files above a set financial threshold.  

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises logistics staff in Manila site.

  • Acts as Officer in Charge in the absence of Logistics Country Manager and performs certain tasks as designated.

  • Oversee the following Logistics operations - procurement, warehousing, transport and reporting/statistics).

  • Ensure all requests are fulfilled within a reasonable time frame and in compliance with ICRC procedures and all government regulations.

  • Provides guidance to stakeholders regarding procurement policies, guidelines, and procedures.

  • Ensures all Logistics transactions in JDE/IRIS are performed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Provides support to Mindanao Logistics teams as needed.

Qualifications

REQUIRED PROFILE

  • University degree in logistics and supply chain management, business or any related field of study
  • Minimum 8 years professional experience in Logistics/Procurement, with 3 years in a people management role
  • Previous experience in humanitarian work is a plus
  • Proficiency in the use of JDE or equivalent ERP software
  • Excellent computer literacy (Word, Excel)
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Filipino.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under high-stress and in conflict areas
