Senior Project Manager for global airport projects

  • Full-time

Job Description

Use your technical expertise to develop and integrate complex and critical systems for a global market. Join our company to take the technical lead of baggage handling systems, where you use your mechatronics skills to deliver vital infrastructure solutions.

Lead complex technical projects
As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for the overall technical and system integration of our baggage handling systems. You look into system requirements, specifications and design to make software and electromechanical systems come together. You assess risks related to the technical deliverables, you oversee all technical interfaces, but you also review costs and time schedules.

You take the technical lead on larger or smaller projects that are installed across international airports, and you collaborate closely with a Senior Project Manager who handles the commercial and contractual side of the projects. But you also work together with our Engineers that are responsible for detailed design and a Software Project Manager, who is responsible for the project-specific software development.

Last, but not least, you play a large role in validation of requirements and the testing of our solutions.

Communication with global project teams and customers
To make sure that our system applications comply with all technical, capacity and system performance requirements, you will need a broad technical knowledge and project management capabilities. You are flexible and understand how to multitask and prioritise your tasks and you are proactive and constructive in your approach to your assignments and in your teamwork with stakeholders of different cultures and personalities.

Qualifications

You have a good technical foundation, both from education and experience. You:

  • Have a degree in Mechanical-, Electrical- or Computer Engineering or any related field.
  • Have a proven track record with technical project management or overall technical design.
  • Preferably have experience with conveyors, processing, automation or sorting systems.
  • Have strong communication skills in English to communicate with project stakeholders at all organisational levels.

Moreover, we expect you, going forward, to be able to lead and motivate technical teams. And you are ready to manage complex projects in an international environment – travelling up to 70 days a year to major airports all over the world.
