My name is Theresa, and I work as a Business Development Manager in Älmhult for category area Wood. Our current Production Engineer is moving on to a new assignment and now we are looking for his replacer. 

My team works with suppliers connected to two different Categories - Solid Wood, Pigment on Board.

Job Description

Quality in all of our products is really important for us. In IKEA we work with our suppliers in a tight team of 3 functions, quality, logistics and business development. You would be the one leading the quality agenda in the business team, working very close with our Business Developers & Supply Planners. You are the main contact towards the suppliers to develop and secure the efficient production process, handling of quality deviations and secure compliance to all IKEA requirements.

Amongst others you:
• are responsible for Quality Assurance

Implement new products at the supplier
• perform Product audits and production risk assessments at suppliers
• are responsible for Supplier development

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who enjoys building and maintaining business relations, having excellent communication skills. You work well in a team and believe in respecting others. You adapt to changes, take responsibility and are able to prioritize. 
We believe that you have a background in engineering, quality and production development and you preferably having an engineering education and at least 2-5 years of working experience. You also have good communicative skills in English.

Travelling is a part of the assignment since our Engineers spend a lot of time with our suppliers.
