Programme Overview


The AmaliTech Immersive Software Engineering Internship Programme is designed to provide university students studying computer science, computer engineering, IT, and related programs with valuable hands-on experience in software engineering. The program aims to equip interns with the skills and knowledge necessary to kickstart a successful career in the technology industry while fostering a professional work environment and instilling modern workplace skills and etiquette.

Programme Structure

  • Experience: Interns are embedded into the project team and get a full spectrum of hands-on experience developing software products.
  • Mentorship: Each intern is paired with a mentor who will provide guidance, support, and regular feedback to ensure you achieve your goals. Mentors will assist interns in their professional growth, advise them on technical and career-related matters, and help them navigate the workplace environment.
  • Networking: Interns are encouraged to participate in all company social events and other activities to help them expand their professional network by connecting with AmaliTech staff and other interns.
  • Workshops: Throughout the internship, interns must attend specialised training workshops on technical and professional skills.

  • Technical Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in relevant programming languages, software, and technologies through coursework or personal projects.
  • Communication Skills: Exhibit strong communication skills, both written and verbal, essential for effective collaboration in a professional environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Showcase problem-solving abilities and critical thinking through academic achievements or practical applications.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team environment, as this internship program involves collaborative projects with diverse skill sets.
  • Availability: Commit to the required internship duration and work hours, ensuring availability for project completion and learning experiences.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrate adaptability to new technologies and a willingness to learn, reflecting the dynamic nature of the IT field.
  • Professionalism: Exhibit a professional attitude, including punctuality, responsibility, and adherence to ethical standards in the workplace.

Eligibility

  • Ghanaian tertiary student.
  • 3rd-Year Computer Science, Computer Engineering, I.T., related programmes (2nd-year students offering a 3-year diploma can apply).
  • Familiarity with the building blocks of programming.
