Company Description

This is an 18 month fixed term contract based in any of the main Rotork locations within the UK (Bath, Leeds or Manchester). There is an expectation of travel, within Europe and Intercontinentally as required.

Context:

Rotork has embarked on project DRIVE, a programme to migrate each of its global factories and selling entities from their legacy ERP systems onto D365. This role will represent Procurement data in part of a centralised Operations deployment team that is supporting all global sites in their transition over the next 3 years. This role also has a dotted line to our central Procurement team, who are responsible for ensuring the processes/data we put in place meets the overall direction of Procurement at Rotork.

Job Description

Purpose of the Job:

The Procurement Data SME is responsible for leading all Procurement data requirements as part of Rotork’s D365 implementation. Working with the Procurement Process SME, this role will ensure there is an aligned vendor data set for each of our Global factories to meet the requirements of implementing our new System.

 

Key Responsibilities and Outcomes:

  • To develop, along with finance, supply chain and other key the stakeholders the framework for data deployment of D365 across Rotork.
  • Alongside our programme data team, support our factories to complete all data profiling, mapping, cleansing, migration and test activity from the perspective of the central Procurement team.
  • To lead the development of an aligned framework for vendor pricing and data that allows sustainable transfer of pricing / vendor information into our ERP system.
  • To lead the deployment operational and sustainable processes with our supply base that allows the transfer of new pricing into D365 in support of our move to Standard Costing
  • To lead a team of Procurement Data Coordinators that will support the alignment of supplier data with the supply base and D365.
  • Define and implement a series of reports that allow the procurement team to adequately measure supplier performance and track opportunities for further cost optimization.
  • Work closely with the factory Global Supply Chain teams to understand key operations performance metrics for the plant and ensure processes are implemented that support our operations.
  • To lead the development of templated price lists with our direct suppliers and processes / mechanisms with the suppliers for the maintenance of pricing data in our systems on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure effective risk monitoring of suppliers using relationships and tools to flag high risks.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Technical knowledge:

Essential

  • Advanced knowledge of full Microsoft Suite (especially Excel).
  • Familiar with MRP systems i.e., D365, SAP, Oracle
  • Experience of working in a procurement environment
  • Demonstrable track record, and sufficient gravitas and experience, to deliver positive, high impact business outcomes and change. 
  • Experience working on a substantial change project or upgrade of an ERP system. 
  • Experience of leading a team

Desirable

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience of implementing a new ERP system
  • Experience of D365
