Our client is looking for an experienced backend developer to join their team.

The team works in short iterations and in close collaboration with customers and users. Being involved in grooming new ideas, turning them into features, and making the software run well on their on-premises infrastructure the right candidate has a broad perspective and thrives having an end-to-end responsibility.

They work in a dynamic environment with ever-changing priorities and requirements. To keep up they rely on the latest technologies, extensive use of automation, good teamwork with peer reviews, and a focus on always learning and improving along the way.

You will play a key role in setting the future direction of their backend services along with their customers and their other backend developers.

• Design and develop new services dealing with vast amounts of data using appropriate data storage methods
• Maintain and improve existing services ensuring high performance, stability, and data integrity
• Diagnose and resolve production issues promptly and effectively, troubleshooting across code, infrastructure, and database
• Write well-structured, well-tested, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to coding standards and best practices

• Extensive Java experience, preferably also with Spring Boot
• Familiarity with Test Driven Development methodologies and frameworks
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch) and their suitability for different data requirements
• Proven experience building and deploying microservices
• Strong focus on applications monitoring, utilizing frameworks and visualization tools
• Experience with Data Driven Development and Domain Driven Design approaches
• Ability to manage deployments, with experience in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Passion for code quality, prioritizing clean, simple and readable code
