Beacon Services of Connecticut is one of the state's largest providers of home-based, Early Intervention/Birth to Three specialty services. Our practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of young children, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and pervasive developmental disorders (PDD). BCBA’s work as part of a multi-disciplinary team whose goal is to provide increased access to services for families across CT, using evidence-based treatments.

Job Description

Our LBA’s provide services for children primarily between the ages of Two to Five. They are responsible for the evaluation of a client's skills across a variety of developmental domains and use that information to develop and implement intervention services for children and families. LBAs work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide targeted, evidence-based interventions, as well as assist families with the transition to school-based services. They also supervise and support early intervention staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform home-based intake visits/evaluations with potential clients
  • Oversee the development and implementation of individual goals and objectives through an Individual Service Plan
  • Oversee the development of written guidelines for behavior interventions, teaching plans and programs
  • Complete required administrative responsibilities related to billing and funder procedures

Qualifications

  • PhD or Masters in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Current BCBA Certification
  • Current Connecticut ABA Licensure
  • Experience or desire to work with young children and families
