Job Description

As a Program Manager, you are responsible for managing complex cross-cutting initiatives, involving many parts of the global business organization within H&M Group. The job includes strategic analysis and combining retail business acumen with technical knowledge. The initiatives typically require a wide range of activities from business development to tech implementation, including new product development as well as driving, leading and coordinating participating teams from across the Group, of which many are distributed globally.

As a Program Manager in the Consumer & Sales Unit (Business Components layer), you will be part of a unit that envisions a future of composable components that can solve any customer problem – today and tomorrow. Through synergy and innovation, the Consumer & Sales Unit, hand in hand with the Value Streams, crafts and refines impactful, adaptable, scalable and reusable technical marvels. These solutions not only solve business challenges but also unlock the doors to opportunities across the realms of Marketing, Merchandising, Identification & Loyalty, Commerce & Payments, Price & Promotions and Store Components, embodying H&Ms unwavering pursuit of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • A holistic view and strategy responsibility of the roadmap for one or more projects and/or programs
  • Support Value Stream Managers, Product Managers and other stakeholders across our business with clear material for decision, steering and communication
  • Develop a thorough understanding of business processes, technical issues and main customer experience related targets
  • Define communication strategy for the program, and share progress in relevant forums
  • Plan and prepare global roll-out of projects/programs, aligning dependencies and timelines both centrally and locally
  • Enable continuous improvement during projects/programs, ensuring learnings are documented and shared with others
  • Craft, update and communicate business cases with relevant stakeholders
  • Identify and secure relevant resources and teams needed to secure the success of the project/program
  • Take an active part in and contribute to the Program Management community

Qualifications

The work is executed with a focus on value creation, growth and serving customers with full ownership and accountability. The goal is always to achieve outstanding customer value and business results. For this role, we are particularly interested in candidate who has:

  • 5+ years’ experience of leading large and complex customer facing programs/projects with a multitude of stakeholders
  • 5+ years’ experience from retail processes and relevant tech platforms
  • Extensive experience in bringing many different parts of an organization together in order to execute on a common goal, including facilitating workshops, senior management meetings, and planning sessions
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively adapt messages to diverse audiences and level of seniority
  • Experience leading and coaching people towards a common goal and having an act-learn-adapt approach
  • A curious and prestige-less approach to problem solving
  • Great prioritization- and planning skills
  • Customer-first focus and a commercial priorities awareness
  • A truly collaborative approach and a yes-we-can attitude
