What your days might look like

We are now looking for an Information Security and Data Privacy (ISDP) Leader who will be contributing and be part of the team that develops and leads the agenda for information security and data privacy for Inter IKEA Group. As part of our team, you will, together with your peers, continuously improve our information security and data privacy strategy for IKEA. You will engage with stakeholders across the organisation, nurturing a security-by-design culture, advocating trusted data and technologies, and monitoring digital risks and improvement plans. With your broad knowledge, you will be a big contributor to the protection and strengthening of the IKEA Brand and trademark.

More specifically, in this role you will:

  • Build long-term professional relationships with representatives from the supported business areas and enable the business and process owners, digital product and platform owners to implement our IKEA business requirements on information security and data privacy.
  • Support digital product teams in their delivery of innovative digital products and allowing them to demonstrate effective information security and data privacy measures.
  • Engage with stakeholders in the supported business areas to enable co-workers to take their responsibilities in the field of information security and data privacy by providing expertise, best practices, trainings and hands-on support.
  • Lead projects with deep knowledge in one or more information security areas, such as those related to digital/IT risk management, cloud security, DevSecOps, AI, data privacy, service management, agile planning and/or digital resilience.
  • Together with the network of expertise, suppliers and franchisees develop security & privacy principles, ways-of-working and identify good examples to ensure commonalities and uniformities on how to protect IKEA.
  • With your peers you will contribute to define and roll-out the information security and data privacy approach, ways-of-working and roadmaps across IKEA.
  • You also participate in developing our portfolio of capabilities and services to be offered across IKEA value chain to address security and privacy challenges.
  • Contributes to professional and long-term relationship with franchisees and partners through IKEA way of doing business, based on co-operation, trust and transparency.
  • At any time, act as an ambassador of IKEA values and role model for fact-based business leadership.

In this role you will report to our Information Security/Data Privacy Team Manager and work closely with Information Security and Data Privacy leaders and specialists across Inter IKEA Group to lead towards uniformity and commonality, contributing to the Inter IKEA security and privacy approach to secure IKEA in a connected value chain.

To be successful in the role, we expect that you have working experience of at least 5 years with:

  • Information security and data privacy industry standards and frameworks
  • Digital/IT risk frameworks and assessments
  • Information security assessments
  • Third party risk management
  • Security awareness
  • Cloud security
  • Data and application security
  • Incident response
  • Cyber resilience

We believe you are a strong Information Security and Data Privacy leader with hands-on experience with the ability to inspire and mobilise people towards clearly set objectives. We are looking for a pragmatic and adaptable person with strong willpower, that can make things happen.

You are curious, have a strong capability to communicate and inspire, and are a real partner in leading the business in creating a risk-aware culture. You have a desire to safeguard the IKEA Brand and the integrity of our co-workers. It is within your ability to demonstrate a risk-based approach in line with the IKEA culture & values that you create real business impact and buy-in for decisions and investments.

You are a big fan of home furnishing and enjoy building a purposeful business by creating trustful relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and business partners. This position is full time and is located in Malmö, Sweden or Delft, Netherlands. Travels, mainly to Sweden/Netherlands, will be required.
