Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our global HPC team!

Reporting to the EAME Network Manager, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the datacenter HPC network, installing new hardware and delivering fault isolation and troubleshooting on network systems. You will also be involved in creating and updating detailed network documentation & diagrams.

You will also have the opportunity to assist with the day-to-day running of other global network infrastructure such as firewalls, security policies and SDWAN.

As an integral member of our HPC team, you will be surrounded by open and collaborative problem-solvers, to maintain our outstanding leadership position for technology and service delivery in the marketplace. Due to the nature of the role, you will be expected to travel as required domestically and internationally in order to provide support and installation to customers. Additionally, you will be participating in an on-call rotation where occasional after hours/weekend work may be required.                

Qualifications

Educated to a Bachelor’s level/equivalent in Computer Networks and Security, or any other related discipline.

Skills and Experiences

  • Basic networking principles such as OSI model, VLAN tagging/trunking/port-channels and routing protocols.
  • Familiarity of using a command line interface
  • A passion for technology and enthusiasm for troubleshooting challenges
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply that knowledge to the current environment.
  • Willingness to participate in a dynamic team and ability to work autonomously and using own initiative.
  • Good troubleshooting skills

Desired

  • Knowledge of firewall technologies
  • Exposure to Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of physical networking equipment (for example switches, cabling, different media types such as optics)
  • Knowledge of network monitoring platforms/network performance data
