Inter IKEA Group brings together three areas: Retail Concept, Range and Supply. Together we work constantly to improve the IKEA home furnishing offer and make it more accessible for the many people. You will be part of IKEA Supply and the Supply Chain Development organisation. IKEA Supply is responsible for securing that the product offer is produced and delivered to our customers. We lead the supply agenda across many functions and work together with all business areas, different business units, but also retail markets to secure customer availability in all markets and sales channels at lowest total cost.

Job Description

Together with others, you will be securing that business objectives as outlined in the IKEA Supply Strategy and Supply Chain Development Business Plan are being fulfilled in Order and Finance Platform “OFP”.

The role contributes to the development of a seamless connection between IKEA Supply and respective stakeholders, well supported by relevant digital solutions, in this case OFP. By that, the role contributes to further optimization of the IKEA value chain, and continuously improved customer experience.

Your role is to identify business opportunities, prepare to seek decisions from governance bodies and Supply Chain Management. You will be assessing, validating, or rejecting business cases related to OFP.

You will be responsible for leading the specific development stream of the Order and Finance Platform. In this area your key responsibilities will be:

    • Assure that the stream has the right structure, competence, and experience across the areas in scope.
    • Identify and act on knowledge and competence gaps.
    • Organise the work in the stream by making sure the right people are assigned to the right tasks/activities/deliverables.
    • Responsible to secure and onboard new resources including learning activities.
    • Secure efficient communication within the stream.

Furthermore, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of the respective OFP stream with the following key responsibilities:

  •   Ensure that IKEA functional requirements are defined and secured as part of the OFP implementation.
  • Prepare design authority decisions with focus on business requirements and business impact.
  • Safeguard and balance the need for standardization in the processes/solutions while ensuring that key IKEA uniqueness is kept intact.
  • Ensure the holistic view, working very closely with the overall business owners as a part of the governance.
  • Responsible to secure that activities/deliverables where the stream is either accountable or responsible are completed in time, and that contribution to other activities is secured in a timely manner whereas the responsibilities of the team will span across multiple dimensions of the implementation, such as process, data, change management, training, and solution.
  • Manage issues and risks that are assigned or escalated to the stream lead.

You are going to act as the ambassador for Order and Finance Platform at IKEA and support acceptance and adoption of new solution within respective line organizations.

In this role you will report to the Supply Chain Development Area Manager in your assigned area Procurement Development, you will be the member of the OFP Leadership team and work closely with other OFP Stream Leaders across Inter IKEA.

We drive the development and operation of our operating model through develop, run, and innovate the IKEA Capabilities, while using agile delivery methods and empowered, front-led teams. The new way of developing IKEA through processes, capabilities, and product & platform ways of working will impact far beyond Supply Chain Development and Supply. It relates to new ways of working in a cross functional dimension, connected to common planning and a roadmap framework for Inter IKEA. Supply will take lead to develop the following four IKEA capabilities: Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Logistics operations.

In this context we are looking for You with passion for people and supply chain/finance, who enjoys working in an international environment and is driven by developing business through people, is able to lead through others, easily build strong relationships, create an atmosphere of trust, respect, togetherness, as well getting energy and motivation from securing excellence in running operations while contributing to global projects and assignments.

Your key capabilities, knowledge and skills are:

  • diverse knowledge and experience preferably from working with business development at IKEA Supply Chain, IKEA Logistics, or IKEA Finance.
  • at least 3 years of experience in leading others.
  • understand both, “the big picture” and the details, being able to transform the “big picture” into structural knowledge and learnings, and to be able to clearly communicate the way forward.
  • see the opportunities that digital and information technology bring to transform the IKEA business.
  • improve and simplify current ways of working and solve problems in line with IKEA strategies, agreed goals and objectives.
  • strong and inspiring communications skills with the ability to influence others.
  • fluent in English, both written and spoken.
