We are now looking for an IWAY Development Leader to join the IWAY Development Group.
Job Description
As an IWAY Development Leader, your task is to lead or take active part in exploration and development projects connected to IWAY and related sustainability topics, to further improve the IWAY System and contribute to positively transforming the IKEA value chain. You work closely together with internal stakeholders from sustainability and Inter IKEA Group core businesses, as well as external stakeholders and experts.
Main responsibilities:

  • Lead activities related to the development of the IWAY System, which includes the IWAY Standard and the IWAY Framework
  • Inspire, enable and challenge IKEA organisations implementing IWAY
  • Liaise and work together with IKEA organisations, assessing and acting on needs for further development of the IWAY System (such as requirements, approaches, guidelines, communication, reporting, etc.) to support the IWAY goals
  • Analyse trends, opportunities and challenges in sustainability approaches and standards in global value chains, to ensure the continuous relevance of the IWAY System
  • Support IWAY communication, internally and externally
  • Take active part in the development and facilitation of the global IWAY learning offer

Participate in external forums, working groups, professional associations, etc., according to the IWAY development priorities; Analyse potential gaps for improvement opportunities of the IWAY System.

You have the capacity to lead and challenge stakeholders without formal authority, and to lead change in a diverse global environment.
 

As an IWAY Development Leader, we expect you to:

  • Have proven knowledge and experience connected to sustainability. Knowledge of the IWAY System, including the IWAY Standard and the IWAY Framework, is a plus
  • Have excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Master project management skills
  • Have solid change management skills and experience from driving strategic change
  • Be excellent at building relationships and having high levels of influence and personal impact
  • Have proven leadership experience in informally influencing and coaching stakeholders
  • Live and share the IKEA culture & values, be a true team player and be open minded
  • Be able to prioritise and take decisions.
