Job Description

As Content Manager, you will with a curious mindset lead a team of senior communication professionals accountable for development of world class content that both attract new consumers and engage existing customers in IKEA to our amazing offer of home furnishing products and solutions that truly improve life at home! You have a passion for exceeding customer expectations through marketing and communication assignments both on a global common level as well as assignments requested throughout the IKEA ecosystem.
Some of your main tasks will be:

  • Lead and steer the amplification content assignments delivering to the IKEA marketing and communication Strategic plan and long-term ambitions, as well as the current and future demands of the IKEA communication delivery plan and digital transformation roadmap
  • Lead and steer the on-request assignments for IMC
  • Lead a team that defines, assigns and follow-up the amplification assignments (content, solutions, and customer experience journeys) and on-request assignments.
  • Lead and manage co-workers in creating an inclusive, engaging and future-oriented learning environment that supports a continuous competence development and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Assign and follow-up the holistic amplification assignment agenda as well as on-request assignments
  • Lead portfolio management; securing amplification and on-request assignment quality, time, and budget
  • Secure range priorities and product selection in close collaboration with CBR and M&C Planning
  • Market interaction; securing successful implementation of the amplification and on-request deliveries
  • Define and prioritize amplification assignment business needs into digital capability development
  • Stakeholder engagement; CBR Range Areas, IMC, IKEA Franchisees (retailers) for all attract and activate communication
  • Develop and explore future setup and solutions for sustainable growth

Qualifications

You have an extensive experience in IKEA global and local marketing & communication and deep understanding of our customer journey and how people consume & experience marketing and communication. You have developed and implemented global communication and brand communication on multiple digital platforms for large business/brands within Media or Retail industries. You are passionate about people, business and creativity – and believe they all need to come together to create true impact!  You bring with you deep understanding of IKEA Concept and strategies, the IKEA Brand, including IKEA Brand values, copy and visual identity, and tone of voice.

Your values-based leadership, leading by example every day, staying close to your team, and knowing your business are pre-requisites to lead, build and develop the global communication for IKEA businesses and the IKEA product range.  You have a development mindset, and you are comfortable exploring and not having all the answers. Leading with trust and give space for people to take own initiatives comes naturally to you. At the same time, you can give clarity, direction and you are confident taking both easy and challenging decisions.
