Our rapidly growing tech company is driven to create meaningful apps and products using cutting-edge web technology, and we’re seeking a new Prototype Director to help us in that mission.

The Prototype Director will lead the design and development of innovative prototypes for our user-facing app. This role will be instrumental in visualizing and testing product features before they go into full development, and will be integral in communicating product capabilities to our sales team, software development team, and potential customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, creation, and testing of product prototypes for a user-facing application.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to transform concepts into interactive prototypes.
• Facilitate and support the product development process by providing clear, well-documented prototypes that communicate product vision and functionality.
• Present and demonstrate prototypes to internal teams, including sales and development, as well as potential customers.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback on prototypes, and incorporate this feedback into future prototype iterations.
• Use data-driven insights to guide prototype development and align it with business and user needs.
• Manage a team of prototype designers and developers, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest advancements in prototyping technologies and methodologies, and incorporate these as appropriate into the prototyping process.

• 5+ years of experience in software development, UX/UI design, or a related field.
• Proven experience creating interactive prototypes for software or mobile applications.
• Strong understanding of prototyping tools and software, such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, etc.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts to various stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
• Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design principles and practices.
• Experience in the creation, implementation, and interpretation of usability testing.
• Ability to work in an agile environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
