Job Description

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Senior Client Relations Manager to join the Ingram Academic and Professional team in our NYC office. We offer flexible, hybrid schedules for a mix of onsite and remote work.

The Senior Client Relations Manager manages Ingram Academic and Professional’s client relations with assigned publishers by leading the ongoing business relationship, instructing clients on policies/procedures, consulting with clients regarding book industry protocols, and counseling clients in the production of high-quality, appropriate, and consistent sales materials, sales cycle timelines and other relevant aspects of marketing and sales. Additionally, this person will work with various support departments, including the Sales department, and follows-up on client requests to maintain client satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 years of book industry (distribution, buying, selling) or client management experience
  • 2 years of marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Academic marketing experience
  • Operations experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as liaison between assigned client publishers and the Ingram organization including, but not limited to, formal and informal communications, evaluating client expectations and Ingram’s ability to meet those expectations, and forming strong interactions with all levels within the publisher.
  • Maintains and utilizes up-to-date knowledge as Ingram Academic & Professional academic sales expert.
  • Attends academic conferences as necessary and represent publishers at these exhibits.
  • Manages the clients’ sales cycles as they pertain to IPS by conducting pre-sales meetings, communicating deadlines, and assisting clients in meeting deadlines and participating in the IPS sales conference.
  • Prepares and conducts business reviews with assigned publisher clients.
  • Acts as a liaison between assigned clients, sales, Ingram support, and operational departments.
  • Maintains relationship with IPS international team, serving as a liaison between the international sales team and client publishers; helps pitch international sales and marketing services to relevant academic publishers.

Hiring Salary Range: $72,650 - $105,211.  This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to:  the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
