Job Description

THE ROLE

You will be working within the Research & Development team to design and deliver Solivus products and solutions using state of the art light-weight technology.

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Product Engineer who is keen to learn about the next generation of light-weight technology and can help our team deliver innovative products and energy solutions. While the role is a mixture of project management and mechanical engineering, as a scale-up company, you will have the opportunity to work across many parts of the business.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a number of workstreams which support innovative aspects of our client projects
  • Developing Solivus products and solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of the regulations and standards that need to be met in the installation of PV products and systems
  • Be a part of the client sales process from conception to delivery, identifying projects for the solutions team and opportunities to develop IP
  • Liaise with and manage external sub-contractors and experts
  • Carry out mechanical calculations and modelling
  • Define and commission mechanical testing of solutions
  • Be a part of a growing team and will help shape it

Qualifications

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering Degree
  • Experience in project management or engineering design
  • Demonstrable experience in managing a number of projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with 3D modelling tools
  • A creative and proactive problem solver
  • A confident independent and team worker
  • UK Driving license
