Job Description

The Clinical Nurse - Infusion reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

Clinical Nurse-Outpatient Infusion Oncology Early Phase Clinical Trials NM Developmental Therapeutics Full-time Days

  • An experienced Registered Nurse who is responsible for:
    • Providing direct patient care to phase 1/2 clinical trial oncology patients through administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy and investigational medications and execution of clinical trial responsibilities.
    • Completes required documentation and study related activities required per research protocols.
    • Works with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient care for their assigned team(s) based on disease type.

All candidates must have at least one year of oncology experience with an active chemotherapy/biotherapy certification. Research experience is desired but not required. OCN preferred.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly/4 10-hour shifts, Day Shift – Weekdays Only

Qualifications

Required:

  • Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing .
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
  • Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
  • Oral, listening and written communication skills.
  • Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations.
  • Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.

Preferred:

  • Experience in specific clinical area.
  • Nursing specialty certification, if eligible.
