In IKEA we work together across the value chain to be affordable and accessible for many more of the many people with our fantastic product range. At IKEA of Sweden we are responsible to develop and supply the IKEA product range offer.  This is done in the different Home Furnishing Businesses (HFBs) where the Sales team has the responsibility to secure the preconditions are in place to maximize the sales and growth opportunities with the offer we have, and to create the optimal conditions for sales and growth with the new offer we are developing. This enables the IKEA retailers to create a great meeting with our customers. 

Job Description

 We lead the development of efficient and effective working methods, tools and competence to optimize the collaboration between the HFBs and all IKEA Retail Units. We do this through three areas of expertise:

Within Range Classification we secure through market and competitor insights, that the most unique, relevant and commercial range is offered in each retail unit.

Within Pricing we secure through our value-based methodology, that the preconditions are in place to develop and price our product range offer to be affordable and profitable in each country.

Once the range offer is identified for each Retail Unit, we focus on driving sales, visitation and growth through Sales Planning, Sales Steering and Activation.  Here we facilitate that all parts of the value chain are aligned to secure that each market receives the right product at the right place at the right time.

In this dynamic role as a Capability Specialist you will be the subject matter expert in one of the Sales Collaboration areas of expertise.  You will be the main speaking partner for the different stakeholders, building trust and long-term cooperation across the IKEA landscape. As contribution to the development of the working methods and tools, you will be responsible for capturing and detailing the business and user requirements, securing acceptance testing together with relevant stakeholders as well as follow-up ensuring that processes, ways of working and tools are quick, lean, effective, and efficient to use.

You are a good communicator with the ability to express yourself clearly, inspire others, build relationships, identify stakeholders and interact with others.

We expect you to being open to a fast-changing environment, to do things differently and have the ability to navigate in the unknown.

We expect that you have experience working with the Sales function with Range Classification, Pricing or Sales Planning and Activation and understand how they contribute to growth and profitability.
