Job Description

Fire Hose Games is seeking a motivated and experienced Community Marketing Manager to join our team and help grow our online presence and community. The ideal candidate will have a passion for video games and a deep understanding of online community management, social media marketing, and influencer outreach, preferably with agency experience in a relevant space.

We are a fully-remote studio, and successful candidates who are able to sync with our core hours in the U.S. Eastern time zone may work from anywhere. DEI is important to us, and candidates from diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Community Marketing Manager will have the autonomy to shape and grow the voice, brand, and presence of Fire Hose Games.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple platforms, including TikTok, Reddit, and Twitter
  • Create and publish engaging content that includes video, streaming, screenshots, and copy
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide actionable insights to drive engagement and growth
  • Enhance and manage influencer outreach, communication, and activation
  • Represent the company and our games as a spokesperson, building and maintaining positive relationships with influencers, players, and the wider community
  • Actively engage with our community across multiple channels, including Discord, Steam, and Reddit, fostering conversations and creating opportunities for community members to connect with one another
  • Manage and mentor a team of volunteer community moderators, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for all players
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends
  • Regularly play our games, maintaining a consistent understanding of development and direction

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience, with a priority for agency experience
  • Proven experience of social media strategy and execution
  • Proficiency juggling priorities while meeting deadlines
  • An obsession for writing engaging content
  • Proficiency in video and image editing (Adobe suite)
  • Experience building relationships with influencers and community members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferences

  • Experience working with game development teams, and a first-hand understanding of development processes and product cycles
  • Passion for video games and a deep understanding of the gaming community
  • Marketing agency work experience would be a strong plus
