Company Description

Girleada is a leadership development and training non-governmental organisation that provides adolescent girls and young womxn with leadership training. Various entities provide leadership training. However, many are expensive and thus inaccessible. Our pilot program, the Lead(her)ship Program, graduated its first cohort of 54 future leaders in August 2021. We work remotely across Southern Africa. 

Our flagship lead(her)ship development program will kick off in 2023. We are recruiting volunteers with exceptional youth leadership experience looking to learn, acquire professional and transferable skills and gain access to a network of aspiring leaders.

Our virtual leadership development curriculum is based on the pillars mentioned above, namely: (1) Project Me; (2) Mental Pilot; (3) Communication

Join us as we deliver this impactful peer-to-peer program to adolescent girls and young womxn across Southern Africa.

Job Description

  • Deliver and facilitate existing virtual training in an engaging and interactive manner 
  • Incorporating feedback as and when it occurs and ensuring that the training remains dynamic and engaging 
  • Participate in PR & Marketing activities
  • Periodically provide support on session reports

Qualifications

  • Identify as a womxn (ages 22-30)
  • Fluent in English (C1)
  • Senior tertiary student or young professional with some flexibility in your schedule (Available on Saturday mornings)
  • Leadership experience (community/institution/work)
  • Mentorship/Coaching/Tutoring/Moderator/Facilitator/Public Speaking experience 
  • Report writing skills
  • Presentation skills (PowerPoint creation and Verbal Communication)
  • Tech savvy (Video Conferencing Platform familiarity (Zoom, GoogleMeet))
  • Strong and stable internet connection
