Our client is ONLY looking for US citizens and/or people with Green Cards. Ideally, candidates would be able to travel to the office in Center City Philadelphia, PA office at least 2 days/per week.

Our client created the first end-to-end, fully automated feeding management platform for hospitals that governs the workflow of infant feeding for inpatient NICU and PICU patients. Their platform was built to improve the pumping adherence for NICU moms (who find it hard to pump away from their babies) and to help babies get more breast milk. 

Infants are the most at risk patients in a hospital system as they can be premature - as small as 22 weeks gestational age and less than 2.5 lbs - or have severe illnesses where nutrition is of the utmost importance. Our client's platform saves NICU nurses time, provides lactation analytics, and increases patient engagement.

Job Description

Our client is growing due to recent venture funding, and large customer wins. We want to add to their engineering team to refine their current platform and build next-generation services within the hospital and beyond.

The ideal candidates are passionate engineers who want to operate in a fast-paced environment creating innovative solutions in the health tech space. All team members get their hands dirty and opportunities will present themselves for leadership if desired. 

The Software Engineer will be an integral part of each phase of the software development life cycle and will be responsible for working with technical architects, product owners, and other engineers to solve challenging problems. While experience with the defined technologies is important, the ability to research and find solutions efficiently is critical. 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop secure APIs to support our web and mobile applications.  
  • Assist in DevOps pipelines to improve our delivery time and quality. 
  • Contribute to application architecture and performance discussions. 

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of experience with Node.js or Typescript or Java Spring Boot or other backend programming technologies.

  • Some experience with databases (PostgreSQL preferred).

  • Additional Information

  • Ability to learn, and implement new technologies efficiently.

  • Ability to think independently while working and communicating your ideas with the team. 

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and stay flexible through growth and change. 

  • Experience working on large-scale applications. 

  • Experience with cloud development and architecture using Docker containers is a plus.

  • Experience building web or mobile applications with frameworks like Angular or React Native is a bonus.

  • Experience optimizing and tuning application performance and application security desired. 

  • Startup background is a big plus.

  • Medical record integration experience is a plus.
