Welcome to the product development department
You become part of BEUMER Group as you join our Airport Product Engineering team in Aarhus. Here, we develop, optimise, and maintain products for our airport baggage handling systems.

As the Product Engineering Manager, you hold the daily responsibility for the management of the team. Doing so, you will head appr. 15 people, a mix of engineers and technical designers, taking charge of their development while handling the resource planning and coordination of their tasks. Working closely with your team, you will provide technical guidance and feedback to your employees as well as ensuring smooth and well-functioning processes.

Also, you will be part of the department’s management team alongside the three other Team Managers. In this capacity, you will act as your team’s touch point for the rest of the organisation and interact with other internal departments and teams, other BEUMER Group companies, suppliers and customers. Your tasks include:

  • Supporting our business segments and internal departments
  • Estimate costs for new product launches and prepare applications for funding by the R&D Board  
  • Process optimisation 
  • Resource planning and monthly reporting
  • Team meetings, 1:1 staff meetings, coaching and technical guidance
  • Close collaboration with the product owners, who are a key stakeholder

Engineer with a dedication to leadership  
We imagine that you have min. 5 years of experience with people leadership, a technical background, however, the true key to your success is based on your great desire to work with people. You are focused on the delivery of high-quality products on tight deadlines. You achieve this through hands-on leadership where you are always available, taking an interest in your employees and their work, and balance this with a strong overview of projects and deadlines. Therefore, coaching and technical feedback are your highly valued tools, and your great communication skills ensure that you get your messages across. Moreover, you:

  • Have a strong technical background with a degree in mechanical, electrical or automation engineering.
  • Have leadership experience and a strong desire for team management 
  • Have a solid understanding of product development/product engineering
  • Speak and write Danish as well as English at a high level
