The Opportunity

Are you ready to start a new journey? Come and discover the opportunity to join our Lysaght production team in our BlueScope Building Components (BBC) business as a Team Member. No previous experience needed, we’ll provide you with all the on-the-job training and support needed to develop you in your new career.

Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects. You’ll be joining us as a Team Member at our Lysaght site in Lyndhurst where you’ll play an important part in producing and supplying our range of steel building products including purlins, fencing, roof sheets, and shed packs.

As a valued member of our production team, you’ll be working to ensure our products and services are of the highest quality to meet our customer needs now and in the future. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience across various departments. We have multiple full-time permanent positions available, working Monday-Friday, day (6am–2pm), afternoon shift (2pm–10pm) and night shift (10pm–6am). Our Information Night will provide further detail around the specifics and shift patterns available.

You will commence on an attractive rate of $29.45 per hour plus applicable shift penalties (15% afternoon shift/30% night shift), the opportunity to work overtime, as well as eligibility for a 10% discretionary bonus incentive. As your skills develop, or once you have reached a certain period of time – your base hourly rate will increase to the next pay level of $31.42 within 6 months.

What Will You Do?

Working within a collaborative team environment, you’ll receive ongoing training and support to learn to:

  • support and promote a safe working environment
  • operate machinery to process and manufacture our products
  • safely pack and strap our products and monitor products for quality control
  • drive forklifts and operate cranes
