Job Description

At Merkle, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Experience Architect. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, utilizing your skills in user research and experience design to inform the development of our customer experience solutions.

As an Experience Architect, you will be responsible for leading user research efforts, analyzing data, and providing insights to inform the concept and realization stages in our design thinking framework. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and design solutions, and develop and maintain user personas, user journeys, and other experience design artifacts. Additionally, you will present findings to stakeholders and make recommendations for further conceptualization of experience solutions for our customers.

At Merkle, our Experience Architects play an important role in all phases of our projects, from research to concept and realization. In the research phase, you will help to discover applicable insights to use as the foundation for the project vision and scope. During the concept phase, you will participate in co-creation, brainstorms, and pitch ideas to find the features, principles, structure, and foundation of the solution. And during the realization phase, you will work to refine ideas, write user stories, and continuously adjust and improve the solution in alignment with client needs.

We believe that with the right attitude and mindset, anyone can be a successful Experience Architect. What is important to us is that you are driven by a logical sense that allows you to create order out of chaos, that you are able to navigate complex inputs and translate them into simple digital structures and interfaces, and that you share our belief that the best solutions are based on insight, curiosity, and the courage to challenge the traditional. Additionally, a good understanding of business and strong communication skills is essential for this role.
