Summary: The Operations Coordinator provides critical and timely support for all elements of The Center for Digital Equity (CDE) at Queens University of Charlotte and its Community Council workstreams. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.

The Operations Coordinator is responsible, at the direction of the Executive Director, for leading all aspects of organization-wide operational components. This includes serving as the lead administrator of all aspects of the CDE, including preparing and organizing events, serving as the lead administrator on all digital tools (Hootsuite, Office, Slack, RingCentral, et al), supporting onboarding of new teammates/partners, supporting day to day finance needs. This role establishes and maintains an active, visible, and engaged presence to sustain and grow strong collaborative relationships with the internal stakeholders. This position is exempt from provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and therefore is not eligible to earn overtime pay or compensatory time off for additional hours worked.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership

•    Analyze and troubleshoot program/project components to arrive at a logical course of action while knowing when to seek support or assistance
•    Work effectively independently and as a member of a team
•    Possess high levels of professional acumen, judgment, and leadership to serve in a variety of capacities, as needed, in the absence of Deputy Director and/or Executive Director 
•    Work with Deputy Director, to learn about opportunities to improve 
Operations Coordination 
•    Engage in excellent organization and follow-up / follow-through skills to ensure operational objectives are met within established timeframes, and program evaluation/assessment is conducted appropriately
•    Lead training, development, and use of digital systems designed to enhance and/or improve the CDE’s ability to deliver on its mission. This includes serving as the lead Hubspot Administrator. 
•    Possess strong computer proficiency, particularly in Hootsuite, Microsoft Suite, and ability to quickly learn and assimilate new systems and information, as well as ability to apply knowledge to improve procedures and processes
•    Conduct effective planning, organizing, resourcing and executing of large and small tasks through to completion (e.g. this could involve ordering computers through a vendor and following through the completed delivery of laptops to Queens, and supervising work study students as they prepare the laptops for each workshop)
•    Analyze and resolve problems and implement efficient solutions and exercise sound judgment and discretion with sensitive, difficult, or confidential material and situations
•    Exercise attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness to effectively prioritize assignments and competing demands to meet given deadlines and program objectives

Community Engagement
•    Build rapport, manage relationships at various organizational levels, and to exercise tact/diplomacy when working with internal community members, as well as exercise cultural competence with internal and external community members
•    Co-lead all aspects of community engagement events including marketing, staffing and overall logistics. 
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills to help craft and share stories about programmatic efforts, internally and externally
•    Collaborate with community and campus partners to connect with and invite Queens University students’ meaningful involvement in The Center for Digital Equity’s programmatic efforts

Non-Essential Duties: Other duties may be assigned as needed to achieve Gambrell Center and university goals.

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge and Skills 
•    At least five (3) years’ operations coordination experience, project management and/or nonprofit management
•    Advanced Business Software Skills (primarily Hootsuite, Microsoft Office, Slack, SharePoint, RingCentral, et al, and the ability to quickly learn and apply university specific software)
•    Proven ability to apply a collaborative approach with The Center for Digital Equity team to support tactical implementation that aligns with The Center for Digital Equity’s programmatic and service efforts
•    Demonstrated organization and follow-up / follow-through skills to ensure objectives are met within established timeframes.
•    Demonstrated background in engaging various constituencies across differences of race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class, and ability backgrounds
•    Well-developed attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness to effectively prioritize assignments and competing demands to meet given deadlines and objectives.
•    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and experience interacting with multiple and diverse constituencies (faculty, staff, community partners)
•    Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in experience and education
