ACF is entering its third year of a five-year ambitious strategic plan. We are focused on further developing as a national go-to space and advocate for music creators. The success of the plan relies on the creation, testing, and implementation of programs and communications consistent with this strategy and our equity values. The newly-created position of Systems and Technology Manager was recently created to focus on the effectiveness of the organization’s use of its various platforms for internal operations, including: Salesforce, Constant Contact, Trello, Google Office, and Zoom events. (This position will help coordinate our migration from eTapestry to Salesforce, as well as help us fully migrate from Outlook/Office to a Google Workspace.) The Manager will be the liaison for ACF’s IT support and other associated vendors/consultants. Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Systems and Technology Manager is a newly-created position and plays a critical role in managing the organization’s use of technology for optimal workflow, data capture, and communication. They work across the organization and report to the Director of Development, working closely with the Managing Director, Executive Director, and Director of Digital Media (new position TBA). The ideal candidate has some experience working as part of a team and enjoys identifying technology-informed solutions. They will help ACF migrate to a fully cloud-based, hybrid office workplace. This position can work from anywhere in the U.S. but must be willing to travel to Minnesota 4-5 times a year.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Systems and Technology

  • Manage ACF’s technology infrastructure, processes, and policies to ensure a high-functioning, effective organization; includes CRM/database (Salesforce), email/calendar systems (currently Microsoft Office and Google), technology support (currently Syand), technology cycles, and shared space planning.
  • Help to coordinate organization migration from previous database (eTapestry) to new CRM (Salesforce), working with leaders across departments to identify needs and opportunities to better utilize new CRM to meet organizational goals.
  • Help to design and implement systems to effectively capture information, analyze its impact, and inform ACF’s strategic work (measuring outcomes; following-up on participation)
  • Maintain dialogue with staff members to ensure shared understanding of existing systems; identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage technology needs for ACF-produced events such as webinars, virtual town halls, study groups, and board meetings (registration, hosting, ASL support).

Organizational Support

  • Supervise contracts with external vendors and consultants; serve as staff liaison with legal support.
  • Maintain an organized system for accurate electronic record keeping including server best practices and any third-party storage use.
  • Oversee staff training and use of CRM and email systems (Salesforce and Constant Contact): ensure cultural integration of shared systems with training, ongoing data hygiene, and clear application of data.
  • Support onboarding/offboarding of staff related to ACF’s platforms
  • ADA and Access Coordination: Oversee organizational execution of existing plan, annually revise, and facilitate any relevant staff training.

Qualifications

CANDIDATE PROFILE

An ideal candidate is enthusiastic about ACF’s mission and supporting music creators. They are committed to racial equity and share the organization’s values of leadership, anti-racism, courage, support, and curiosity. The successful candidate must be highly organized, proactive, and able to reprioritize when needed. They have at least 2-3 years using technology to facilitate work with a team (project-based, freelance, or within an organization). Experience with Microsoft office and databases a must; experience with Salesforce and/or coordinating a database/CRM migration or implementation a plus. We seek candidates interested in organizational culture and workflow solutions that are inclusive of different perspectives and preferences.

A national organization, we value the opportunity to be based in Minnesota, where we maintain a physical office, so we invite applicants outside the area to apply only if they are willing to travel to St. Paul, Minnesota 4-5 times a year for staff/board meetings. SALARY AND BENEFITS

The salary for this full-time, exempt position is $50-55,000/year (depending on experience) plus a competitive benefits package including health insurance, dental insurance, Flexible Spending Account, 403(b) retirement matching plan and pre-tax transportation program. We value the artistic and other life activities of our staff and welcome flexible remote and work hours.
