HCBDD Help Me Grow home visiting program focuses on a baby’s early experiences as they are the building blocks that shape how the brain is built and create the foundation for success in life. The Help Me Grow program serves families who have children that are prenatal to age three. It is a home visiting program that is voluntary and provides family support, education and advocacy for pregnant women and new parents. 

Job Description

HCBDD in Hillsboro is currently hiring a Home Visitor for the Help Me Grow home visitation program in the Adams and Brown County areas. The ideal candidate will reside in Adams or Brown County. Responsibilities include but are not limited to home visitation, parent education of families with children in the birth to three-year population. Willingness to work from home in a home-based office setting is a must. You must also be willing to visit families participating in the program virtually and at their homes. Skills/Training:  Must be eligible for credentialing under ODH rules, must attend all state mandated trainings and additional trainings as deemed appropriate by the Program Manager. 

Qualifications

A minimum of an associate degree (bachelor’s degree preferred) in Psychology, Education, Early Childhood Education, Healthcare, Licensed Social Worker or Registered Nurse or another related field with experience in case management, ability to maintain a caseload, and meet mandates and timelines.

Additional Information

Individual must be able to pass criminal background checks as required by the Ohio Revise Code; have a valid Ohio driver’s license, current motor vehicle insurance with a clean driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (including a TB screening) and drug screen. This position has a 180-day probationary period following first day full time employment.
