Job Description

The Service Advisor plays a key managerial role in sales and customer experience management. They serve as a liaison between customers and the service/operations teams. They are the point of contact between customers who bring in vehicles into Jiffix Hub and the operations team or technicians.
The service advisor must ensure clients records are up to date, appropriate parts & services are recommended, activities appropriately communicated and vehicles delivered to the client in excellent condition at all times.
S/he is majorly responsible for converting our customers into raving fans by providing a seamless & smooth customer experience for all Jiffix Autocare clients.


Responsibilities

  • Sell products/services to customers, requiring solid understanding of all Jiffix services and products.
  • Maintain positive business relationships with clients to promote business growth & retention.
  • Provide a warm & receptive ambience for customers as well as directives to facilitate smooth experience for customers.
  • Manage daily/weekly workflow & schedules and ensure the reception area is neat & professional always.
  • Daily/weekly engagement with customers to provide advisory on services and/or maintenance subscriptions.
  • Answer questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up etc.
  • Preparation of estimates, invoices & payment records. Maintenance of customers & cars records/database.
  • Send estimates, reports, after service updates to customers.
  • Carry out inventory and/or diagnostic reports review.
  • Liaise with operations, job controllers, quality control & technicians about services required by customers.
  • Check on progress of repairs daily to update customers; Contact customers regarding any changes in estimate(s) or promised time for delivery; Explain cost & time requirements in detail, and get proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.
  • Acquisition of new customers, maintenance of service marketing program(s) and resolving of customer complaints.
     

Qualifications

  • At least a National Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Secretarial/Hospitality or Administrative or related courses.
  • An additional technical diploma or certification in automotive mechanics or related courses is required.
  • At least three (3) years experience in the automotive industry as service advisor or similar roles is compulsory.
  • A good understanding of the automotive industry with wide knowledge of automotive technologies & terminologies.
  • Must have excellent communication skills; top notch spoken and written English as well as great interpersonal skills. A personality test may be conducted in this regard.
  • Strong organizational, decision making, problem solving skills & good attention to detail.
  • Must be able to think for oneself, be proactive, intuitive and ready to learn.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
  • Must be willing to work weekends & outside working hours based on client’s demands.
  • Must be resident in Abuja or willing to relocate (self-sponsored).
