We are seeking to hire a Community Support Program Manager as part of our larger Youth Development programming. The Community Support Program Manager is a centralized training position for Amara’s various programs including our Youth STAR (Strong, Tough, and Resilient) program as well as our Caregiver and Parent group supports and various educational offerings.

 

    Job Description

    Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    ·         Acts as training coordinator/liaison across various Amara programs including Shared Parenting, AIMS, Family Connections, SEL (social-emotional learning) and all adult/caregiver/parent groups.

    ·         Creates comprehensive plans that define program purpose, scope, milestones, and tasks necessary to create and guide training initiatives.

    ·         Measure program performance with particular attention to key indicators (attendance, participation, and outcomes) using appropriate methods.

    ·         Track and report on various project statuses, identifying any issues that need to be escalated to ensure timely completion of program objectives.

    ·         Working with Amara’s communications team in direct outreach services which may include both family recruitment and family engagement responsibilities.

    ·         Working with facilitators at partner organizations to ensure training is structured appropriately and that cohorts are developed with community needs in mind.

    ·         Manage program meetings, including the development of agendas and objectives.

    ·         Leverage resources and partnerships focusing on the needs of children/youth/families that have been chronically underserved.

    ·         Responsible for training program and curriculum development including delivering educational presentations in small and large group settings.

    ·         Monitors program areas for adherence to established budget and makes recommendations regarding budget adjustment as needed.

    ·         Manage logistical planning and organizing of learning objectives and programs (including class preparation, facilitator engagement and equipment setup). May be responsible for ordering any learning aids/special materials necessary based on audience needs and available program resources.

    ·         Ensuring consistency in the design and development of workshops and support groups across both in-person and online learning environments.

    ·         Create and manage a calendar of in-person, online and on-demand learning and training activities for Amara staff and program participants.

    ·         Prioritizing projects based on departmental goals.

    ·         Create/implement volunteer programs and policies in conjunction with other relevant Amara personnel.

    ·         Develop effective methods of communicating with volunteers about Amara needs/opportunities on a consistent basis.

    ·         Support internal teams to ensure outreach to the organizations various audiences is consistent and effective.

    ·         Building a robust communication strategy to drive participation in Amara’s various programs.

    ·         Working collaboratively with colleagues to assure a quality continuum of services for Amara clients.

    ·         Represents Amara in the community as an education and community liaison, as appropriate.

     

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience Requirement:

    o   Master’s degree in Human Services/Education/Public Policy or related field and one year of social services experience OR

    o   Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services/Education/Public Policy or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience OR

    o   Associates Degree in Human Services/Education/Public Policy or related field with 3 to 5 years related experience

    ·         2+ years in a learning specialist or similar role, with direct “hands on” training experience.

    ·         Experience coordinating learning events including both in-person and virtual formats.

    ·         Strong communication skills; experience communicating through verbal and written formats with a wide variety of stakeholders across cultures

    ·         Knowledge of youth and adult learning theories and principals.

    ·         Knowledge of child welfare, foster care, and kinship care policies and current best practices.

    ·         Experience with curriculum and training development (specifically at the youth/adolescent level)

    ·         Ability to demonstrate initiative, discretion, maturity, flexibility, and independent judgment

    ·         Ability to collect, organize and utilize data for program improvement purposes.

    ·         Ability to work with all groups across age, religion, race, culture, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, and gender identity.

    ·         Experience with social services specifically with youth and families.

    ·         Experience designing, coordinating, and managing programs or services

    ·         Highly organized with good communication and problem-solving skills including skills in Informational Technology.

    ·         Strong writing skills with ability to remain neutral and unbiased in reporting

    ·         Experience with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel required.

    ·         Knowledge of web delivery tools (Zoom, Teams) preferred.

    ·         Ability and willingness to work occasional nights and weekends.

    Salary and Benefits

    This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary of $61,300-$70,200 DOE. Generous personal leave and benefits package, including paid time off, paid sabbatical, health, vision and dental insurance, 401k with a company match, life, and disability insurance. Amara supports a hybrid work schedule including some flexibility to work from home. Travel between our Pierce and King County offices will be required on occasion.
