We are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the Software Platform team, a strong team of highly skilled software developers, who provide core software services, tools, and expert guidance to the other +250 software developers in BEUMER Group. The team works in a global setup with developers in Denmark and Germany.

Working as a software developer in the platform team is an exciting job, as you will have the opportunity to develop in different areas and research new and interesting technologies. You can challenge your team members and they will challenge you with topics and you get a team leader who has been a developer himself in the past and supports the ideas and thoughts of the Platform team members.

Deliver BEUMER's future on-premises and cloud platform and toolbox.
The Platform Team currently consists of +9 employees (4 in DK and 5 in GER). It is part of our global Software division, consisting of more than 250 software developers in Denmark, Germany, Poland, Austria, the USA, and Singapore.

The Platform team has a clear ambition, this is our WHY:

This is achieved by providing a software ecosystem and engineering toolbox that can be used by application and project teams. This allows them to focus on business value and produce quality products for BEUMER Group's airport and logistics customers.

What are my tasks?
As a member of the Platform team, you have different opportunities depending on your experience and skills. People often work in their comfort zone, but we also give you many opportunities to step out of your comfort zone. A list of some of the tasks that the team works on:

• Develop and maintain a software platform as a product for the application developers in close dialog with the developers.
• Implementing and optimizing a fully automated CI/CD pipeline using GitLab.
• Enhance and improve the software engineering toolbox, e.g., Docker, Grafana, etc.
• Guide and support application teams in the use of the tools, architecture, model, etc., e.g., a microservice architecture, zero trust security model, etc.
• Exploring and experimenting with new technologies
• Training the organization in e.g., Git, Docker...
• Testing out ideas from the team for future improvements and their success
• Maintaining existing software platforms
• Working with cybersecurity compliance, standards, and frameworks such as ISO27001, IEC62443, or NIST.

Myself
You are a software developer by nature, language agnostic, and motivated by tools and new technologies. You have relevant education, at least a bachelor's degree, and more than 4 years of experience.

You should have worked already with the following tools / technologies

• Docker
• Git
• C# (.net6+) or/and Java (Quarkus)
• SQL/MSSQL
• RabbitMQ/Kafka
• GRPC
• microservices

If you have additional knowledge in one of the following technologies, that's a plus

• Kubernetes
• GitLab
• Ansible/Terraform
• Prometheus, Kibana and/or Grafana
• Linux
