SCD - Business Analyst - Area Sourcing

Job Description

In this position you will be working in Supplier Lifecycle management, one of SCD Sourcing’s departments where we develop lean processes and innovative solutions to secure, maintain and develop the supply chain information flow between IKEA and the IKEA Supply partners with business solutions and processes supporting; Order-, Delivery-, Replenishment-, Invoice - Contract & Supplier Management.
For this specific position you will be part of a solution team responsible for General Agreement Management System (GAMS) and Purchasing Manual.

As a Business Analyst you are responsible for clarifying business needs, requirements management and solution evaluation. Furthermore, you will:

  • Identify potential improvements: to elicit, analyse, challenge, and document all business needs.
  • Set up a business analysis approach and plan to support the selected business development activities (initiatives and releases).
  • Identify the business consequences and risks with solution alternatives for process, organization, tools, and information.
  • Assure quality and traceability of stakeholder needs and business requirements and support the evaluation of solution alternatives.
  • Communicate, clarify and safeguard evolving business needs along a project or solution life cycle.
  • Clarify business needs during definition and validation of high level & low-level design in cooperation with architects and developers.
  • Review test plans and test cases to ensure compliance to the requirements. Support the planning and execution of testing activities.
  • Responsible for securing and handing over requirement related artefacts to development and line organisation.
  • Consulted in the creation of solution documentation and in the creation of the ‘learning offer’ for the solution.
  • Support business benefit realization through continuous improvement of solutions and their usage.

Qualifications

  • You have proven experience and knowledge or willingness to develop yourself in:
  • The relevant business process, IT strategies and connections to other processes.
  • Facilitating, planning, and managing workshops and activities.
  • Understanding of different delivery methods and software lifecycle management.
  • Test methods and tools with focus on acceptance testing and good understanding of unit, system, and integration testing.
  • IKEA application landscape and the technology & architectural aspects of the solutions as well as implemented functionality.
  • Working with Confluence and Jira.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing and can describe complex things in a simple and comprehensive way.

  • The position is based in Älmhult, Sweden.

Additional Information

The position can be based either in Warsaw, Poland or Älmhult, Sweden.

About Area Sourcing
SCD Sourcing is part of Supply Chain Development. In SCD Sourcing we develop and embed processes and solutions to support throughout the whole life cycle partnership with a supplier, from potential cooperation to the end of joint business. This comprises all major activities such as acquisition, price management, durability, and quality, including deviation & claim management. Our support, covering IT tools and adaptation to
legal compliance as well as our own rules and regulations, is directed to all IKEA supply units.
