Job Summary

The HR Coordinator performs essential human resources and administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the organization. This role will work the HR Manager and Operations Team to assist with essential HR and operational functions. This person should be exceptionally detail oriented and exhibit initiative, dependability, agility, collaboration, and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants
  • Executes human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; culture and employee engagement; and training and development
  • Leads the on-boarding and off-boarding processes including providing onsite support for staff to complete I-9s, handle equipment, and other tasks as needed
  • Provides admin support to Operational systems including 15Five, Paychex Flex, Ease, and SmartRecruiters
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, supervisors, and applicants, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Prepares reports and files of sensitive personnel information
  • Assist with scheduling and coordinating staff meetings and other staff events
  • Offer suggestions to the COO for overall improvements to create administrative efficiencies

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in human resources or general administrative experience
  • One year of experience performing highly detailed work involving sensitive or privileged information
  • Excellent calendar management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively and respectfully with people of diverse cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic groups
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality

Additional Information

Salary & Benefits: $29/hour, Part-Time, 30 hours/week. Non-exempt. Excellent benefits include fully paid medical coverage, vision and dental for employees and generous coverage for spouses, partners and dependents. Paid time off and monthly stipend for internet provided.

Work Location: This position is a hybrid work arrangement. Some job responsibilities must be performed in the office and some may be performed at home. Schedule is flexible depending on candidate and department needs.

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required prior to employment.
