Job Description

Position Summary

The Brand Management team at Pereira O’Dell sets the vision for how we transform the brands and the businesses we work on. They are the stewards of our multidisciplinary approach and of the process. They keep us driving toward the desired shifts and outcomes we set out to achieve.

The Brand Director is responsible and accountable for the overall health and success of the business, including the planning, leadership, and direction of all marketing efforts. In addition, they have overall responsibility for managing the account’s growth, profitability, and the value-add relationship with the Clients.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strong business acumen - A true client partner and extension of their team, in business understanding and as a resource. Relays business updates and organizational information to the agency team in a relevant and helpful way. Fluent in the data and business results.

  • Brand stewardship - Own the business and brand story for the internal agency partners. Represent the agency on big strategic projects in partnership with the strategy team.

  • Client management - Able to identify great creative ideas that are both on strategy and solve the brief's business problem in their infancy and shepherd them through to delivery. Drive thought leadership and strategic deliverables for the future of the brand and, along with your POD partners, drive creative excellence.

  • Account operations - Responsible for overall health of the account’s finances, including production budget oversight and fee oversight. Identify areas of organic growth opportunity and develop action plans to turn opportunities into revenue results.

  • Project & process management - Partner with Creative Directors and Strategy Directors to maintain overall health of client/projects. Supported by a Brand Supervisor, able to effectively drive a multi-channel campaign development program, collaborating across agency disciplines, partner agencies and client teams.

  • Talent management - Provide leadership, daily guidance, direction, and hands-on training to Managers, Supervisors and Executives. Responsible for the development plan process, including identifying opportunities for growth for each team member. Actively ‘manages up’ and works with the Managing Director to keep them posted on the business. 

  • Agency culture & vision - Actively engages in agency discussions to create a positive agency environment, including senior agency team meetings. Creates space for and champions a diverse, inclusive and equitable agency experience, ensuring a breadth and depth of voices are considered in all stages of the creative process.


 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 9-12 years at a creative agency in account management roles with complex, highly integrated campaigns and brands

  • Experience across all mediums with a strong understanding of digital 

  • Strong experience in all aspects of production

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Keen interest in the marketing, advertising and communications industry and staying up on industry best practices and campaigns

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong writing skills

  • Effective team leader and mentor to direct reports

  • Proven track record of successfully leading projects through completion

  • Candidates must be located in the Atlanta, GA area and have extensive knowledge of the DMA

  • This position is fully remote but does require frequent in-person presence with local clients

  • Prior healthcare experience is a plus
