Senior Solution Architect
Digital Product Development (DPD) - Process & IT Tools | Range & Product Development

Working with 3D in IKEA is co-creation, from product development to cutting edge 3D artistry, deep-learning and research. Our goal is to make computer graphics scalable to reach the many. About the job
You will be a part of an exciting development agenda for the area, while IKEA is rethinking the very core of how we develop our products. As we are currently building up the team, you will also be able to contribute and influence the way forward.  As a team member, you will secure that the various Virtual Product tools runs smoothly for all users, develop new and improve existing features and also working closely with exploration projects around the Digital Product Development tool. In other words, you will be part of securing a great end-to-end delivery of the digital tool.

Collaborate with the product owner to understand business and user needs.

Design, deliver and verify the optimal technical solutions.

Develop and maintain technical documentation.

Continuously benchmark and analyse digital tool performance.

Work with solution roadmap and lifecycle management.

About you
A true passion for software engineering, driven both by solving an end to end need as well as deep-diving into specific problem areas. To find fulfilment in mentoring junior co-workers, explaining solutions and constraints for non-3D co-workers, and solving complex problems as part of a team. Passion for, and experience in, agile environments.

Web development & web stack experience, Javascript / Typescript.

Experience of modern .JS technology is beneficial.

Skills related to orchestration technology, service discovery and traffic routing [Docker preferred]

Experience of NoSQL [example RethinkDB or MongoDB]

Experience with Elasticsearch, Thinkbox Deadline and RabbitMQ is beneficial.

Insight into render farm management.

Experience in Linux environments.

Understanding of cloud architecture.

Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to build relationships and trust with people.

Interest in new technology.

Motivation and energy to make changes.

Ability to describe complex things in a simple and comprehensive way.
