IT Asset Management Specialist

Jobbeskrivelse

Do you want to take ownership of our global assets and ensure that they are organised and optimised? And do you want to be part of a global company where development opportunities go hand in hand with gaining responsibility?

“Here, the best idea wins – we always encourage and expect everyone to voice their constructive ideas, also when it comes to your own career path,” says IT Manager Christian-Peter Hansen.

Join an international IT team
Join our Applications team, which is stationed in Aarhus and Beckum, Germany. Your manager is located in Aarhus and your team lead is in Beckum. We work with various aspects of IT across the BEUMER Group and our 5,000 employees on 35 locations worldwide.

Even though our team is split between 2 locations, we manage to maintain and develop our very good relationship through a number of initiatives – we have a strong focus on personal development, and the BEUMER Group offers ample opportunities to take the next step in your career here.

Take ownership of our assets – worldwide
As our new IT asset management specialist, you will be responsible for our worldwide assets – this includes registration, life cycle and security, as well as coordinating initiatives to ensure that assets are up to date.

More specifically, you will become part of a project team where you will be working with defining the asset governance and cycle – thus, you will gain a wide network and a close working relationship with e.g. system owners and team managers.

Joining us, you will get to spend your days:

  • Maintaining our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with servers, clients, network devices, OT devices, etc.
  • Keeping the approved software list up to date, manage exceptions and compare the inventory against the installed base
  • Conducting usage statistic reports on our software products to optimise license costs
  • Coordinating our vulnerability and patch management process with the respective asset owners in close cooperation with our security team
  • Coordinating the IT access management process based on the ISO 27001 standard

To ensure an optimal relationship with our German office, we aim for our team members to visit this location regularly – which will send you travelling approximately 20-30 days a year.

“This is a role where you can really see the results of your work – and with your talent, you will spot optimisation opportunities we didn’t even know existed,” Christian continues.

You are organised and have a wide IT security knowledge
We do not expect you to be an IT expert, but we expect you to you bring your overall knowledge about IT security to the table. At the same time, you know the consequences of not having a well-defined asset set-up.

You further have a natural flair for communication and are comfortable working with a wide array of people. Also, you have a curious mindset and enjoy learning new processes and areas of expertise.

Moreover, we imagine that you:

  • Have some work experience from a similar position
  • Have a relevant education within IT or perhaps IT security
  • Perhaps have knowledge of ITIL and/or ISO27001
  • Can work in a multicultural environment where your team lead is located in Germany
  • Can speak and write English on a professional level
