Job Description

Quality in all of our products is really important for us. In IKEA we work with our suppliers in a tight team of 3 functions, quality, logistics and business development. You would be the one leading the quality agenda in the business team, working very close with our Business Developers & Supply Planners. You are the main contact towards the suppliers to develop and secure the efficient production process, handling of quality deviations and secure compliance to all IKEA requirements.

Amongst others you:

  • are responsible for Quality Assurance
  • are responsible - together with our partners – identified areas for improvements and cost savings
  • perform Product audits and production risk assessments at suppliers
  • are responsible for Supplier development

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who enjoys building and maintaining business relations, having excellent communication skills. You work well in a team, and you have experience in indirect leadership. You adapt to changes, take responsibility and are able to prioritize. 
We believe that you have a background in engineering, quality and production development and you preferably having an engineering education and at least 2 years of working experience. You also have good communicative skills in English.

Travelling is a part of the assignment since our Engineers spend a time with our suppliers.

This is a permanent position based in Älmhult, an inspirational working environment, based on creativity and innovation, which gives you the opportunity to work and interact with people from all around the world. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö, and an IKEA shuttle bus running back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
