Job Description

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for leading and framing architecture for Core Business Range (From the IKEA product development process, Virtual Product, Part Structure Management, to Marketing & Communication). You will also together with your peers have the  

assignment to continuously improve architecture strategy and roadmaps for IKEA. You will lead and develop the Core Business Range Architecture team, which is part of Data & Technology at IKEA of Sweden. You will secure the design of a target technology landscape, which is based on business ambitions and leverages on existing platforms. You will support its implementation via the development of roadmaps, conceptual solutioning (architecture briefs/blueprints) guidelines and standards. You will also support the process of identifying new technologies that will allow and enable us to meet more of the many people. We believe digital technology is core to develop and future-proof IKEA. 

More specifically, in this role you will be accountable for:  

·       Lead and work closely together with peers across the totality of Inter IKEA and across IKEA to strengthen and contribute to a strong and relevant IKEA franchise offer. 

·       Accountable & Responsible for Architecture framing of all initiatives in IKEA Range. 

·       Define Target Architectures, principles and guidelines for IKEA Range and ensure this is aligned with IKEA stakeholders. Ensure that the business value is well understood and used in the decision-making process. 

·       Responsible for up-to-date architecture artefacts. 

·       Lead the Core Business Range Architecture team by securing competent and high performing teams and leaders. To inspire and empower co-workers and leaders to perform to the best of their abilities and continuously develop in their assignments.  

·       Evolve the Enterprise Architecture discipline and competences, especially value adding services like conceptual solution design, embedding architecture into the development teams (Classic or Agile), and creative ways of supporting the digital transformation. 

·       Shared Responsibility for the Inter IKEA Architecture Roadmap. 

·       Shared Responsibility for cross-domain architecture scrums / working groups to resolve strategic questions, continuously improve a consistent business and technology blueprint. 

In this role you will report to our Digital Manager at IKEA of Sweden and work closely with the Architecture Manager at Inter IKEA Group to lead towards uniformity and commonality, contributing to the Inter IKEA architecture framework and delivering on the needs of IKEA Range.

About you 

To be successful in this role, we believe you are a strong leader able to inspire and mobilize people towards clearly set objectives. We are looking for a visionary, pragmatic and adaptable leader with strong willpower. You are curious and able to build relationships in order to establish strong trust between the architecture community and its stakeholders. It is also necessary that you carry natural credibility and you have a proven track record of reaching stretch targets. You are an energetic and collaborative leader who has a very good knowledge of IT and digital organizations, strategies and working methods. 

We expect you to have a very good knowledge of information and business technologies with a specific focus on Enterprise Architecture concepts, methodologies and frameworks, and with the relevant experience and track record. You have had hands on experience in managing Franchisor and/or global Application landscapes in supply chain environments. Ideally you also have had exposure in implementing and operating robust application portfolios. You are comfortable with agile project methodologies and modern IT operations approaches, specifically DevOps, CI/CD and Cloud.
