We are looking for startup-minded team players who are comfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced collaboration to join our remote team that is distributed across multiple cities (Guadalajara, Los Cabos, Mexico City, San Francisco and New York). You will join a team who is focused on doing good and doing well for our customers. Product, Design and Development closely partner with each other daily, and consult just as often with our operations, marketing, and medical team members to create customer-focused solutions for our Hispanic community.

As a member of the MiSalud engineering team, you’ll:

• Build a product for improving healthcare within the Hispanic community in the U.S.

• Build a Continuous Testing Pipeline where the quality can be measured in every stage.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers, designers, business development, and company leadership to solve problems and plan for the future

• Own the full release lifecycle from feature development to public and hosted release

• Contribute to documentation of the system so the platform and team can scale seamlessly

Requirements

• 4+ years of proven functional testing and automation experience in web apps and/or mobile apps within back end services architecture.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals

• Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills

• Extensive knowledge of software design paradigms in large-scale environments, distributed systems

• Advanced level for Javascript or Java as Programming Languages

• Experience using and implementing Test Harness with Selenium , Cypress , WebDriverIO , etc..

• Experience with Backend API Testing using Postman , RestAssured , Axios , SuperTest

• Experience working with CI tools like Github Actions , Jenkins , CircleCI.

• Demonstrated experience and passion for delivering high-quality user experiences

• Have worked with design teams closely or a strong understanding of a customer-centered design process

• You have a quality approach, delivering high-quality products and supporting others to maintain a high standard in every stage of the process.

• You enjoy learning as well as teaching others. And are passionate about your work

• Advanced English communication skills

Nice to have

• Deep understanding and experience with web services and methodologies such as APIs Rest and GraphQL.

• Deep understanding and experience testing web, hybrid and mobile applications

• Experience with working with the Chrome development tools.

• Understanding and experience with cloud and cloud services, containers, deployment systems, and container management platforms

• You have a background in building web products at scale and experience working in a high-growth tech company on a consumer-facing products

• Hands-on knowledge of working in an Agile environment.

• Have worked in a distributed/remote team before

• Healthtech experience

The MiSalud Interview Process:

1. You apply with your resume and GitHub link to your public code, we will review and get back to you if you’re a fit

2. 45 min phone interviews with the Chief Product Officer and QA tech lead

3. A set of coding challenges that should take 3-4 hours to complete, for validating your skills in coding, algorithms and data structures

4. 30 min phone interviews with the other tech leads across engineering and product design
