Job Description
We are seeking dynamic Middle School Teachers to join our innovative and collaborative team. Educators with the capacity and willingness to teach across two or more KLA’s, and with a genuine interest in providing a relevant and engaging curriculum to students in the middle years are encouraged to apply.
Our middle years program (Years 5 to 8) encourages students to develop their unique skills, talents, and abilities, and expand their capacity to learn, growing the habits of mind and dispositions that will enable them to flourish in learning and in life
Qualifications
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualifications for the position and NESA teacher accreditation
- Interest and experience in developing and delivering cross-curricular / integrated units of work
- Capacity to teach across two or more subjects / KLA’s
- Understanding of the importance of a balanced approach to pedagogy between explicit instruction and inquiry learning
- Ability to integrate an authentic Christian worldview into learning experiences
- Genuine concern for the development of the whole child
- Experience in, or understanding of restorative practices in the school context
- Experience with one or more of the following learning frameworks or philosophies
- Learning Powered Approach
- IB / MYP
- Visible Thinking
- Design for Deep Learning
- Cultures of Thinking
