lastminute.com group is looking for an ambitious and highly motivated Marketing Data Scientist/Analyst to join the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help the Marketing Acquisition team analyzing data to understand the effect of past marketing, and to find opportunities for traffic growth
  • Improve the Marketing Acquisition team's workflow by building scalable custom solutions to automate processes and measurements
  • Model customer behavior and usage so we understand which audiences to target and how  
  • Improve our analytics capability for predicting customer value, product life cycle, marketing spend vs revenue forecasting, churn reduction
  • Drive budget efficiency through a proper understanding of models for marketing mix, multi-touch attribution, and incrementality
  • Collaborate with marketers, product leads, data engineers, software engineers, growth analysts, pricing analysts
  • Leverage data from Google Analytics, Google Ads, and first-party sources to collect, report and analyze customer journeys, interactions, touchpoints, conversion funnel performance
  • Areas of focus could include bidding, budgeting, audiences & segmentation, ads optimization, user journey optimization and personalization, attribution models optimization, new pricing strategies.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Solid knowledge of most of the following concepts: media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, Markov chains, Bayesian statistics, regression modeling, matched market testing, brand equity modeling, brand lift studies, volumetric studies, conjoint analysis, LTV modeling, user & conversion tracking, CDPs, incrementality, lift testing
  • Working Knowledge of the Google Ads API. Additional working knowledge of Facebook Ads API and programmatic display networks APIs is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Git and Google Cloud Platforms
  • Experience using SQL or similar language to extract and manipulate data on e.g. BigQuery
  • Experience using Python (preferred) and/or R; ability to throw together a REST service or a UI if needed
  • Experience developing and debugging data pipelines for marketing attribution and/or performance measurement
  • Data-driven and structured approach, ability to prioritize the value you can add, and to manage your time effectively
  • A degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Econometrics, or similar is strongly preferred; if missing, at least some highly relevant certifications and an online portfolio we can take a look at. The ideal candidate will have both.

Additional

  • Experience of working in a high-growth marketplace or tech startup (ideally SaaS PLG) 
  • Understanding of digital marketing, social, and advertising technologies, such as Google Marketing Platform, Google Ad Manager, Social Ad Managers, AppsFlyer, and/or CRM platforms 
  • Experience with machine learning (predictive modeling, decision trees, classification models, clustering techniques) and time-series analysis
  • Familiarity with data transformation tools (e.g. DBT).
