DeRegt Cables is -and has been- a prominent name in the design and manufacture of Custom-engineered, specialty, dynamic or static cable solutions used in subsea applications. These have been applied in many areas, including the Oil & Energy sector, Defence, Seismic Exploration, Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV's) and Renewable Energy projects. DeRegt Cables is part of the French Sercel Group. 

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer Cable Design, who designs our custom-built cables.

As an Electrical Engineer Cable Design you work within our Design department. You design cables based on customer specifications. You take into account the applicable electrical and technical standards. You are the contact person for the customer and you inform them about the status of their product and answer their technical questions. You also provide technical support and advice to the production department about the product you have designed. You monitor both the planning and the budget of the projects assigned to you, you identify deviations and you discuss this with the manager.

What makes this position so great is the great diversity of technical projects. From Variable Depth Sonar to Neutrino Detectors, from Wave Energy Converters to Remotely Operated Vehicles and from deep-sea mines to hot air balloons. No cable system is the same!

You work in a structured way, have analytical skills and always find creative solutions, so no one has to tell you what to do. You'll be fine! You don't need to have knowledge of cable systems yet, you will learn that quickly enough with us. It is important that you speak and write Dutch and English, because 95% of our customers come from abroad. In addition, this is an important requirement:

• You have an HBO or WO education in Electrical Engineering,
• You have demonstrable experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
