NEC Care, part of the NEC Health division, delivers the national diabetic eye screening programme. Our mission, vision and values are to provide people-centric services that aim to improve the health and wellbeing of those we serve by working to achieve excellence in service delivery.

We are commissioned by Public Health England to provide retinal screening on behalf of the NHS and our service is compliant with the National Service Framework (NSF) and National Screening Committee (NSC) guidance, standards and objectives

Job Description

Primarily based in the office. 

Are you a ‘people person’?  Are you a great communicator who is looking to expand your skills and develop your experience in a different setting? 

If you answered yes, we have a great opportunity for you in Diabetic Eye Screening as a Engagement Assistant. We are looking for someone with confident communication skills, creativity and professionalism to help the Programme Manager and Engagement Lead implement a Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Plan, to improve our service, meet our service user needs and help to widen access to screening in groups of people who are hard to reach. You will be primarily engaging with patients to ensure everyone with diabetes gets regularly screened for signs of diabetic retinopathy or maculopathy in order to prevent sight loss.

We are particularly keen to hear from people who can give an immediate start.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK. Documentary evidence will be required.
