Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and skilled Content Strategist to join our content marketing team. At LaneTerralever we are a hard-working, diverse, and dedicated group of strategic thinkers that aim to produce the highest quality work for our clients. As a member of the content marketing team, you’ll be held to these same standards and contribute to the success of content marketing initiatives for a variety of clients across many different industries.

You will be the strategic lead on several accounts and will be tasked with guiding our clients' content marketing and strategy deliverables. The work in this role touches multiple parts of the marketing ecosystem and will require you to immerse yourself in our clients’ industries and become an extension of their team. This role requires a blend of creativity and strategic thinking. You’ll solve problems, create new things, and work with a passionate and dedicated team to get it all done.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Content Management – Creative thinking matched with strategic smarts to develop and lead content initiatives across owned and shared platforms. Ability to optimize along the way through actionable insights and clear communication with peers and client contacts.

  • Client  Guidance – The Strategist will work directly with prospects and clients, which requires interactive and technical expertise and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. This role requires the ability to celebrate wins and right-size challenges.

  • Creation That Drives Engagement – The ability to plan and write content for a variety of platforms in a way that triggers positive engagement for our clients. A mind that can articulate visual concepts is a plus.

  • Strategic Content  Planning – The desire to dive deep with our clients to understand their objectives and business goals in order to  bring them to life across the web. 

  • Channel Selection & Recommendations – Ability to innovate on existing channels and strategize new approaches that connect with evolving audiences. Keeps a pulse on trending mediums, tactics, and messaging.

  • What-If, Can-Do Attitude – You won’t settle for a hard no. When life (scopes of work) puts you in a corner, you find a way to apply fresh thinking and agility that saves the day.

Qualifications

Here’s what you’ll need to bring:

  • 3-4  years of full-time experience, preferably in an agency setting 

  • An ability to understand and execute content across platforms, as well as a passion for learning and staying ahead of the curve

  • Experience designing content strategies for social, long-form and website content

  • An understanding of the current content marketing landscape

  • A desire to learn and grow as our agency does 

  • An insatiable curiosity 

  • An ability to leave your ego at the door and be a team player

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • An understanding of data and analytics  in native channels and platforms (GA, FB, Instagram, etc.)

  • Organizational, time management, and project management skills

  • Collaborative ability and creative thinking, matched with humble confidence

  • A sense of humor
