To strengthen our bluesign® ACADEMY team in St. Gallen, Switzerland or Augsburg, Germany we are looking for a:

Training Manager 100% (St. Gallen or Augsburg)

Job Description

The training manager will be responsible for the design, creation, and internal and external launch of bluesign® ACADEMY courses for instructor-led face-to-face (F2F) training, Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT), eLearning training or blended learning training modules, pathways and programs.

Major Responsibilities

  • Design and develop training materials using technical expertise at bluesign. Close collaboration with our technical experts is required to help translate current knowledge into comprehensive training modules
  • Digitalize existing and new training materials and develop a system to maintain extensions and revisions efficiently
  • Develop appealing e-learning modules with descriptive parts, examples, practice sessions, exams and issue certificates
  • Cooperate closely with bluesign mother SGS (especially with SGS ACADEMY) and make use of their tools and training methodology expertise
  • Define most suitable training tools depending on the training format (e-learning, web-based training, face-to-face workshop, public presentations)
  • Train the trainer: Give didactical advice and training to make our technical experts better coaches
  • Collaborate with our Marketing Team to ensure suitable and effective marketing materials are produced to enable the network to sell the courses in their local marketplaces
  • Develop training and exams platform for proof of competence of internal staff (e.g. for auditors)

Ideal Profile

  • Proven experience (ideally > 5 years) in working within a commercial training business internally and/or externally
  • Solid knowledge of state-of-the-art training and education tools and methodologies
  • Experience of creating and designing classroom-based training but also Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) and eLearning training
  • Experience of designing learning & development interventions within a customer-orientated and at times complex technical environment
  • Passionate and innovative about educating with didactical talent
  • Client-facing experience, good rapport builder
  • An eye for detail with quality assurance experience
  • Ideally a technical background or experience working in a technical context (engineering, chemistry, textile industry, sustainability)
