Job Description

We are growing our Sourcing team within our Sourcing, IT Strategy, and Corporate Services capability. We are actively recruiting talented people with a passion for sourcing, procurement, and IT transformation across all levels of experience. Our capability helps organisations to source and deliver infrastructure, technology and business services effectively and efficiently. We do so by:

  1. Establishing sourcing arrangements that are fit for the future
  2. Designing strategic blueprints for modern IT and business services functions
  3. Delivering complex transformation engagements.

PA works with organisations to improve their sourcing and procurement operations. We provide a range of strategic advice from transforming organisations’ sourcing teams, delivering complex multi-billion pound procurements, and advising our clients on large-scale IT transformations. We regularly support our clients to achieve their desired business outcomes by harnessing deep technical knowledge and applying innovative approaches to sourcing and procurement.

As a Sourcing & Procurement Consultant at PA you will be given the opportunity to work on some of the most significant and complex sourcing challenges facing public and private sector organisations in the UK and internationally. Qualifications

Ideally you will have:

  • 2 years or more sourcing and procurement experience. Experience in IT Sourcing or IT transformation would also be advantageous.
  • For more senior roles prior consulting experience is essential.
  • Strong delivery experience from working on procurement/commercial and sourcing projects. Ideally, across a range of sectors.
  • Exposure to sourcing cloud or SaaS services, AI or RPA capabilities, application services, data centre and infrastructure, end-user computer and networks services.
  • Experience in managing supplier service delivery arrangements or improving supplier and sourcing relationships, including multi-sourcing arrangements
  • A proven ability to think creatively and commercially to solve complex procurement and sourcing problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team working skills that translate to exceptional stakeholder management.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • A drive for personal and professional progression.
  • CIPS, MCIPS, IACCM or equivalent sourcing qualifications desirable.

It is important that you can demonstrate experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Procurement/commercial strategy and capabilities
  • Procurement/commercial operating models
  • Sourcing including strategy, procurement, negotiation, transition, operating model, transformation, optimisation and remediation.
  • IT sourcing/transformation
  • Insourcing and Outsourcing arrangements
  • Sale-side/private sector commercial acumen
  • Supplier relationship management
  • Supplier negotiations
  • Contract development & contract management
  • Category management
  • Supply chain risk management
  • Transactional procurement/commercial processes and systems
