Job Description

ABOUT THE JOB

As Sourcing Specialist, you will work closely with our development teams to develop range and products with speed and IKEA identity, by leading total supply chain perspective and bring the supplier and customer closer through product development.

  • Together with development team members, secure best democratic design at the lowest total cost.
  • Responsible to bring the industry insight and opportunities into product development and draw conclusions, including leading optimal material and technique selection, through own competence and by involving right competence.
  • Responsible to secure input and preconditions from the DevC to the category, in order for the category to define optimal sourcing set-up for new product developments.
  • Responsible to conclude business case based on the optimal sourcing set-up from category and by calculating GM, GP, and R52 in all channels.
  • Overall responsible for sourcing activities and performance connected to the product development, including optimal logistics set-up, phase in and phase out, considering both supplier and retail perspective
  • Responsible for leading preconditions to secure availability at lowest total cost.
  • Establish & develop high performing and diverse supplier base which meet the needs of our business and customer, together with our category teams.
