Job Description

This fast-paced agency is seeking to hire a key employee to join our agency’s sales and marketing team.

The Account Executive, Strategic Partnerships will be responsible for providing critical support to our sales team, which is responsible for selling regional and national sponsorships across KemperLesnik’s portfolio of owned/managed event properties (i.e. Maui Jim Maui Invitational, Asheville Championship, etc.) and fee-for-service clients (i.e. McDonald’s High School All America Games, HYROX World Championships of Fitness, etc.). This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to start a career in sales as the candidate will receive sales training, learn about the sales process and develop sales techniques.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research and create prospect/target lists for different properties
  • Develop customized proposals based on company objectives and goals
  • Analyze consumer insight data supplied by YouGov Sport to help prospects        understand competitive landscape and potential ROI of each sponsorship opportunity
  • Work with Sales and Sports & Events team members to develop strategic activation programs 
  • Attend client/prospect calls/meetings with sales team, as needed
  • Maintain and update new business leads and client records in Salesforce. Run pipeline reports, as needed
  • Manage relationships with local, regional and national partners
  • Manage relationships with companies that support our sales efforts and become in-house expert with each of these products (i.e. Salesforce, YouGov Sport and Relo Metrics)
  • Assist Sports & Events team with partner wrap-up reports

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge and interest in the sports industry and events business
  • Passion for strategic sales, the sales process and superior customer service
  • Ability to create visually-engaging proposals
  • Keen attention to detail with a desire to consistently produce top-quality work
  • Creative thinker with an ability to solve problems and a “get things done” mentality
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to manage several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills
  • Positive attitude - able to quickly build rapport with team members and clients
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, as needed
  • Ability to travel, as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator and Salesforce
