Job Description

Based on the strategic direction provided by the Board of Directors, proactively manage both the short and long term strategic performance of the credit union. Through the senior management team, lead the credit union to achieve the business plan including: managing the achievement of the operating budget, ensuring the credit union maintains an adequate level of capital in order to ensure long term financial viability, preserving the healthy overall employee engagement as measured by employee engagement surveys; preserve and strengthen member satisfaction scores as measured by member satisfaction data, defining and directing the development and execution of the credit union’s member focus. Ensure the credit union maintains compliance with all regulatory/reporting requirements in accordance with the Act and Credit Union By-Laws.

Qualifications

A strategic visionary who has a proven track record leading initiatives that support organizational excellence within the changing financial services industry. 

Leads the overall credit union by ensuring that appropriate policies, procedures and guidelines are developed and implemented while ensuring that all regulatory requirements are adhered to.

Empowers others to succeed at their roles through clear and consistent direction and by embodying our values of Accountability, Passion, Integrity, Respect and Knowledge.

Identifies and leads the exploration of business transformation opportunities to drive continuous improvement in the best interest of the organization and its members.

Provides proactive leadership and oversight of financial performance by ensuring strategic plans, business plans and budgets are developed, monitored and achieved.

Acts as an ambassador of PenFinancial by representing the organization at conferences, events and as an active member of the communities we serve demonstrating our Truly Local Commitment and our passion as a certified B Corporation.

Maintains a high level of awareness regarding the credit union industry, always ensuring that PenFi’s interests are protected

Possesses a Degree in Business, CCUI or Accounting Designation, or a combination thereof.  MBA is an asset.

Has 10+ years’ of senior level management experience within a credit union or within financial services.

Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with proven success communicating with a Board of Directors, as well as with direct reports and employees at all levels.
