We’re looking for a motivated individual with strong Data Quality Assurance and analytical abilities to join our growing team of QA Engineers. You’ll work directly with project stakeholders to plan and execute test efforts for different products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of data quality assurance experience, experience in testing web-based technologies, data validation, and creating automation tests for data pipelines.  

Key Responsibilities

• Be a champion and shepherd of data quality for one of Redica’s data product teams
• Ensure the integrity and quality of our data products by instilling best practices
• Writing bullet-proof test cases that keep our data humming
• Prioritizing and strategically developing automation test scripts to help scale our data pipeline
• Supporting our roadmap by planning, estimating, and delivering milestones
• Contribute to the design and evolution of the company’s QA process
• Partnering with Product Managers and Engineers to develop new capabilities and diagnose problems when they arise
• Assisting with mentoring and training junior QA Engineers

• 4+ years of data quality assurance experience
• Experience implementing test automation of in a data-intensive technology stack
• Experience automating REST API testing
• Proficient in scripting with Python, Javascript, PHP, Java or equivalent coding language
• Proficient writing SQL queries and working with relational databases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Must be able to investigate an issue, isolate its probable cause, and provide a reliable method for reproducing the issue
• Familiarity with issue tracking tools (JIRA, Bugzilla, Mantis, etc.)
• Strong documentation and communication skills within a team environment
• Experience creating test cases and testing documentation with or without requirements/specifications.
• Strong understanding of software engineering and SQA methodologies.
• Experience with SCRUM and other Agile methodologies, and a good understanding of the SDLC
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline
